The Need to Keep Diversity in La Plata County

Kellie realizes that maintaining attainable housing keeps the much needed diversity in La Plata County. Those who work in this county should be able to live in this county. Kellie voted to approve the 2008 budget that made the La Plata County government the largest financial contributor to the La Plata County Regional Housing Alliance.

She supports and lauds the latest success of the Alliance wherein it is now able to offer much needed down payment assistance to those trying to purchase housing. This type of assistance enables the affordable housing buyer a choice that is something other than being restricted to an isolated affordable housing community.
